My name is Chinonye Attoh @iamchi_bjj, everybody calls me Chi which is very fitting for my persona and overall character. Like a Chi energy I move with grace and intent. I am 100% Nigerian, born in Lagos State.
I was 6 when we moved to Dublin, Ireland after my dad secured a job. Martial Arts became a hobby at first when I started 3 years ago and I love everything about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I am determined to reach the pinnacle of my sport and also, achieving my goals of becoming multiple time world champion in bjj and also mma which I am heavily involved in.
I have won big competitions at national and international and I am just getting started. Next level is European and World championships and there is no doubt in my mind that my place on the top of the podium has already been cemented at these major tournaments. I want to be a positive role model for my country Nigeria especially for the youth.
We are so talented especially in sports it is time we start to conquer and cement ourselves as a force to be reckoned with worldwide. I want to put Nigeria on the map in martial arts, we are fierce, strong, dynamic people with high morals and standards – everything that martial arts represent. I love my country and I am ready to represent my people in everything that I do. I am hugely and immensely proud of my Nigerian heritage and I cannot wait to show everybody what we are made of!
