This year’s edition had 25 participants and lasted for seven weeks,the first four weeks was set for the training of the participants in the skills set mentioned above. The other three weeks was packed with activities like the day with their mentors,photoshoots,visit to Maybelline New York Kiosk,developing of their business plan to name a few,12 of the participants were evicted before the grand finale.
The grand finale was on 12th August,2017 at the MJ Grand Hotel,East Legon. Where the girls had to exhibit every thing they had been taught and presenting their business plan. It was packed with a runaway show,public speaking,live performance and presentation and defending of their business plan to the investors. The winner was Safia Amadu with Helena Abukari and Stephanie Dzillar as the First and Second runner ups.
After the event Safia Amadu has had some interview and this is what she said; “My plan is to establish my own business which I call Beauty Gardens and also to bring out the best in me and others out side.
Amadu Safia,face of Glamdolls 2017 is set to embark on some projects. Using her experience and skills to brainstorm the young students in Primary and Junior High School and also using her fashion skills to sew and provide clothes for some orphanages. She also won a full sponsorship of her business plan,two month training in a makeup and fashion,full mentorship from the brand manager of Maybelline New York makeup,seed money to start her business and seven-month deal to work with Traphousegh.
Safia’s philosophy is “In life nothing is impossible,everything is achievable and doable,so therefore all you need to do is to believe in yourself and never give up”
Twenty-four years old Safia Amadu who has been crowned Miss Glamdolls Beauty Pageant 2017 is a trained model managed by Empiregh Modeling Agency,who is also an upcoming actress and a student of Wisconsin International University College.
