If you went to a single-sex school in Ghana then you were probably all about the alliances back then and you may also have spent a lot of money sending letters to girls in your schools alliance.
Here is a trip down memory lane with these 12 senior high school alliances:
1. POJOKRO (Pope John SHS and Krobo Girls SHS).
Although Pope John has many side chicks notable of which include Meghis, Roses, and Abugiss, they are strongly attached to their main chick, Krobo Girls who are a very faithful and forgiving wife.
2. PREGISS (Presbyterian Boys SHS and Aburi Girls).
This is a match made in heaven since both schools are the “nerdy” kind.
3. SPEROSA (St. Peter’s SHS and St. Roses SHS)
Both schools are found in the cold mountainous part of the Eastern Region. It therefore makes sense that they will pair up to keep each other warm.
4. ACASMA (Accra Academy and St. Marys).
Accra Aca skipped Accra Girls and went all the way to Korle-Bu to propose to Sister Mary, who also accepted because she has a thing for rowdy boys.
5. STAAGA (St. Thomas Aquinas SHS and Accra Girls SHS)
It seems St. Thomas Aquinas took what Accra Academy didn’t want.
6. AMANADEHYE3 (Prempeh College & Yaa Asantewaa)
The mighty warriors of Prempeh decided to go after Obaa Gaddafi herself when they decided to pair up with Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS.
7. APSU-HOPSA (St. Augustine’s College & Holy Child College)
Another match made in heaven.
8. SANTA-MOGA (Adisadel College & Mfanstiman Girls)
The zebra boys also seem to have a thing for the wild ones hence their partnership with the girls from Mfanstiman Girls SHS.
9. APSAINTS (St. John’s Boys & Archbishop Porter Girls SHS)
Yes, this people too have something nice going on.
10. MOBA-GEYHEY (Mfantsipim Boys & Wesley Girls High)
The two titans of the central region decided to pair up because, why not?
11. KUHIS-KUGISS (Kumasi High & Kumasi Girls)
Because Kumasi will always bond with its own.
12. AKATASLOPSA (Owass & St. Louis)
And finally finally we have the boys from Opoku Ware pairing up with the girls from St Louis. Such a wonderful union.
